It's quite a while until we can finally welcome a new festival, but we're on track!
It's a puzzle!
Creating a festival is a big puzzle, with many pieces that need to fit together. At the same time, it's also important not to lose any of the pieces. If you do, the puzzle won't be complete, and few things are more annoying than that.
When the supporters behind the Liverpool Festival set out to plan their fourth festival, it was with the goal of making it even better than the previous three. Whether they will succeed will not be known until the lights on the festival grounds go out, around midnight on August 2. But we do know that countless hours have already been put in and the work on the Liverpool Festival 2025 started the day after the Liverpool Festival 2024 took place.
Good feedback
Through the survey after the festival, we received an incredible amount of good feedback, and that's nice. It was mostly praise, but also constructive feedback and good tips that we have taken into account in our planning.
Some of the things that were highlighted were the legends and how close you get to them. In addition, many people appreciated the Liverkids park where there were lots of activities for the youngest supporters and a relaxing break for the slightly older supporters. One thing that several people have not been completely satisfied with during previous festivals has been the selection of supporter articles and kits. This year people were very happy with it, and there were not a few who went home with new t-shirts, signed kits, signs, flags and lots of other things.
What happens in 2025?
Never change a winning team, that's the nice saying. But as we know after many years as supporters of the world's best team, changes are needed from time to time. We changed managers, and that's a good thing. Players don't last forever and football changes. We have no plans for major changes when it comes to the Liverpool Festival 2025, but we want to develop further and there will probably be some small changes.
The new additions in 2024 were English breakfast at Brygga and Liverbirds Park. As for breakfast, hungry supporters turned up in droves for a pleasant morning of live music, a traditional English breakfast and maybe a beer or two, before taking in the festival grounds. Many also enjoyed sharing breakfast with legends and artists who were at the festival. There will of course be breakfast during Liverpool Festival 2025 as well
In 2024 we also focused on the youngest supporters and created a completely separate area where they could have fun with different activities and informal competitions. There was frisbee golf with Vegard Heggem and you could check out your shooting foot with Didi Hamann and Jan Mølby. In addition, we served Happy Meals from MacDonalds on both Friday and Saturday. Liverbirdsparken is of course back at the next festival, with Triksepappa in place, among others!
Supporter dinner and Livergirls ONLY
Both the dinner and the girls' lunch have been with us since the very first festival, and both events will be with us during the Liverpool Festival 2025. The program for these events is not completely clear at the time of writing but tickets are on sale and are selling well. There are limited places and the supporters' dinner has actually sold out long before the previous festivals. If you would like to read more about the events and perhaps buy tickets, click on the boxes below. Then read about them by clicking on the links: Livergirls ONLY and Supporters' Dinner
The Legends
We have four legends in place, and they are four legends who have contributed greatly to filling the Anfield cupboard with silverware. Vladimir Smicer, John Arne Riise, Patrik Berger and Sammy Lee are the chosen ones, and there may be more to come. All are in place for the entire festival and will be hanging out on the festival grounds when they are not on stage. You can read more about our legends here!
The music
Music is an important part of the Liverpool Festival and during the next festival we will bring over the most popular LFC musicians to Gjøvik. There will be a good atmosphere guaranteed when The Ragamuffins, Andy Hodgson and Kieo play LFC songs. In addition, we will spice things up with the rising star Aleksander "Alek" Hornes who has gone from warming up Liverbirds Bergen for the past matches, to warming up supporters in Milan before the Champions League match and several trips to Liverpool to play at supporter events. He is also the guy we are taking with us to Carls in Oslo on January 5th when we will be warming up the supporters before the match against United!
In addition to the supporter songs, there will be several troubadours and bands that will entertain. There will be tributes to both AC/DC and Queen, nostalgic rock with The Secondhand Smokers and more. Read about all the artists here
Food and drink
There will of course be both food and drink available for purchase during the Liverpool Festival 2025 as well. The menu is not completely ready at the time of writing, but we can of course promise that you will not go hungry throughout the days in Gjøvik.
Pondus Bar is back and you can also visit Taggy`s FestivalBar. Taggy`s will be the bar for the slightly more mature ones who may not think soft drinks are the gift of life. This will be the bar where those over 20 can buy a little stronger stuff than festival beer, wine and Battery without sugar. In addition, you get all that and more.
Supporter shops and more
There is a lot that is not clear at the time of writing when it comes to sales stands and exhibitors. But we already know that we can tempt with a large selection of supporter articles, everything from the official festival t-shirt, socks, caps, shot glasses and signed kits, retro kits, and much more goodies for LFC supporters. We are also working on getting the new jersey for 2025/26 season in stock. There will of course also be chocolate and ice cream from Gjøvik Sjokoladefabrikk and a good selection of food.
The Norwegian supporters club is also present, and if you visit them, you can expect giveaways, good conversations and memberships.
