It's not the legends or the concerts that people are most interested in experiencing during our festival, it's hanging out with other supporters!

Never Alone
Over the years, we have carried out several user surveys to find out how festival participants experience our festival. Each time it is community and interaction with other supporters that scores the highest. It is not really surprising, and it has meant that over the years we have developed the festival in a slightly different direction than we originally thought. We have put community first, higher than which legends we should book or which artists should be allowed to play. It is the supporters themselves who are the main attraction during the festival.
We know that the Liverpool festival has been a place where supporters have met and started something that has become a new and good friendship. We also know that people have come alone to the festival, people who have felt alone far too often. There they have been met with open arms by other supporters and formed bonds that they might not have had elsewhere, but which we think is natural when you meet other LFC supporters. As a Liverpool supporter, you should never go alone!

More than just football
For many Norwegian and Nordic supporters, the love for Liverpool began in childhood – often through family, friends or random TV matches. It develops into lifelong loyalty, where you follow the team through ups and downs, discuss tactics, know the players as if they were close friends, plan confirmations and weddings so that it fits with the schedule, follow transfer rumors, and feel the nerves before every game. It is a passion that never goes out, regardless of the results.
For some, being a supporter is also a form of therapy. It gives structure to everyday life, something to look forward to, and a channel to express emotions. It can be a safe haven in difficult times, and a source of inspiration and hope. Being a football supporter is more than cheering on a team. It is an emotional investment, social belonging and perhaps for many, an all too important part of life.

You'll never walk alone
Liverpool FC's history, values and anthem – You'll Never Walk Alone – reinforce this. It is about solidarity, resilience and the belief that you are never alone. This message has reached millions of people, and made the club something far more than just a football team. Supportership is about identity, community and passion – and for many Liverpool supporters it's a way of life, not just a hobby.
At the same time, it is allowed to be a supporter without your whole life having to be about exactly that. It must be room for everyone, even those supporters who don't show it through clothes, flags, tattoos or who hammer away at the keyboard to express their feelings on social media. We are all worth as much even if we are not the same. The supporters are a cross section of the population with all the differences that exist. Some speak louder than others and some know better than everyone else. We are he and she, we might love someone of the same sex or we are far from each other politically. Through Liverpool we find something that unites us, we are part of a strong community.
