Should you wear good shoes?

How do you get to Gjøvik, where is the festival area and where is the festival camp?

It`s a short walk to everywhere

Walking distance!

The festival area itself is beautifully located by Lake Mjøsa, just a 3-minute walk from the city center. From the bus station where both buses and trains bring people to the white city by Lake Mjøsa, it takes 6 minutes, if you have a slightly heavy bag. The hotels are located in the city center and for those of you who choose the festival camp, you must calculate a 12-minute pleasant walk down to the city center. If you choose the camper parking, it is only a stone's throw to the festival area. In summary, no one should have to wear out their sneakers moving between the locations during the Liverpool Festival.

If you are going to attend the Supporter Dinner , you will find it at the Grand Hotel, while Livergirls ONLY will take place at the Strand Hotel, just 450 meters from the festival area. English breakfast is served at Brygga in Gjøvik harbor, and as you probably already understood, it is also within comfortable walking distance!

Where is Gjovik located?

We are of course incompetent, but we think that Gjøvik is possibly the navel of the world, at least during these three days of festival in the city. If you have booked a place at a hotel or festival camp, go to this page to find the address.

In the map below we have included the festival area as a destination. The RV parking is located right outside the festival area.

Train, car, plane, boat, bike or swim?

Regardless of which means of transport you plan to use, you will end up in Gjøvik eventually. Trains from Oslo S take approx. 2 hours, you can also choose a train to Lillehammer or Moelv and take a bus to Gjøvik. If you are coming via Gardermoen, we recommend the airport bus to Gjøvik (approx. 90 minutes) or train to Moelv and then by bus to Gjøvik.

If you are driving to the festival, just turn on your GPS, plot the address and shorten the drive with good music at the facility. If you live in the Mjøs area, it is also possible to swim to the festival area. If you do, we will be ready with a towel. We recommend starting in Lillehammer so that you get the most out of the trip. Good luck!
