The official supporters' club in Norway has been with our team since we started the Liverpool Festival. They are moving on towards a new festival!
An important collaboration partner
We are very pleased to bring the official supporters' club in Norway to another round of the festival in Gjøvik. LFCSCN is an important piece in the puzzle we are putting together to create another festival for Liverpool supporters, which will get better and better every year
Almost 45 years as a supporter's club!
Liverpool FC Supporters Club Norway was founded on 24 August 1980 and has approximately 53,000 Norwegian members at the time of writing. This means that approximately 1% of the country's population are members. This shows how incredibly great the interest is around Liverpool FC and how incredibly many people there are around the country who have pressed Liverpool to their chest.
Why does the supporters club want to hang out with us?
So now we've been hanging out together since we started the festival and we had to ask the general manager, Tore Hansen, why they still want to hang out with us?
"When the Liverpool Festival became a reality 4 years ago, this was something we thought was both cool and fun to join. Not only because it was a nice arena to be in for us as a supporters club, but also because we wanted to support a good initiative from a red gang in Gjøvik.
The most important thing, however, was that we saw that this was a nice red weekend for all the Liverpool supporters out there. A place to gather and meet and just talk and be Liverpool for a few days.
We particularly like the motto "Never Alone". It goes hand in hand with the great Liverpool spirit. We don't just support a football team. We're not just particularly fond of a windswept city on the Mersey River. After all, it is the cultivation of the community, the friends and all the positive things we as the supporters can create beyond the matches that are particularly worth taking care of.
We think the Liverpool Festival takes care of this in a very good way. With such values at the bottom, there was therefore never any doubt that we will continue to join as sponsors and contributors where we can".
Lunch for the girls!
The supporters' club has for several years made a determined effort to recruit more girls as members and has been very successful in this through its own events, joint trips to Liverpool and other activities. Also in 2025, in collaboration with the supporters' club, we will arrange a separate lunch for the girl supporters, under the name Livergirls ONLY. This has become a great success over time, with both laughter, tears, sing-alongs and, of course, good food.
