We feel like the flight attendants who can finally grab the microphone and announce: Boarding completed!

It's always the case that when you start booking for a new festival, you're never quite sure what the poster will end up looking like in the end. Some names have been worked on for years to get in place, while others have already been ready before the last festival was finished. One thing all of this year's legends have in common is that they have been on the list of people we've wanted to invite to Gjøvik.
We are very happy with this year's lineup, and we dare say we have never had a better line-up. During this year's festival you can hang out with six Liverpool legends. A great bunch who represent a lot of the silverware that has found its way to the prize cabinets at Anfield. But it doesn't help to have played red and collected silverware to get invited to the Liverpool Festival, you also have to be a nice and sociable guy who wants to hang out with supporters.
The legends will mingle
All the legends are present at the festival all three days, and most of them are already in place the day before and stop by the official preview at PT`s. During the festival, they will of course be on stage and tell stories, give their opinions on the previous season and the season to come. There will be autographs on clothes, pictures and other things that the supporters want, and certainly a bunch of selfies. The best thing, however, is everything that is not on the program, and that is when one or more of these six sit down at your table for a chat.
That's what the Liverpool Festival is all about, community. Here we meet across social status, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs or whatever description you can come up with of how different people can be. At the Liverpool Festival we are supporters and we are there to share the love we have for Liverpool FC. There we are all equal and no one should walk alone, no one should be alone, never alone at the Liverpool Festival.
Legends of the Year
One of the biggest names making the trip is none other than John Barnes . The man who captivated The Kop with his elegance and technique in the 80s and 90s is one of the most sought-after legends among past festival attendees. With John on board, we're guaranteed to get some great stories, football analysis and maybe a verse or two from "World in Motion".

Midfield general Gary McAllister , who became an unlikely hero during the 2001 treble-winning season, is also back. "The Great Dane", Jan Mølby , returns. The Dane who made his mark on both Red Hearts and the history books with his slick passing foot.
David Fairclough , the original "Supersub", returns to meet the supporters. He was our very first booking and featured at our very first festival. Sammy Lee , is without a doubt a friend of the festival and someone we always hang out with when we make the trip over to Liverpool. An exceptionally nice guy with loads of stories to tell from an impressive career, both as a player and coach.

The very last one we booked for this year's festival is for many the best booking we've ever made, at least if we look at the feedback we've received since we revealed the name. Jason McAteer is the local boy from Birkenhead who lived the ultimate dream. He went from being a devoted Liverpool supporter in the stands to becoming an energetic crowd favorite in the all-red jersey. He's got some stories in store when he comes to Gjøvik!
A festival for the kids too!
We want the Liverpool Festival to also be a children's festival. In recent years, we have seen a large increase in the number of children and young people participating in the festival. These must also get just as much out of the festival as the adult participants. It is the youngest who will continue the support. Now we hope that even more people will bring their own children and grandchildren to our festival.
When we open Liverkidz Park this year, there will be many of the same activities as before and the park will also be staffed with its own activity staff for much of the festival's opening hours. Entrance to Liverkidz Park is included in the festival pass.
